The exact date of the foundation of the Church of the Holy Spirit is unknown. However, it is most likely the oldest structural landmark in the Nové Město region. The original structure may have been here as early as the 10th century during the spread of Christianity. The current building, in its early Gothic style, references the end of the 13th century.
